Costume: A black cap sits on his head, tilted down over the eyes. A faded black leather trench coat is worn over an also faded black shirt and black and grey striped tie. His blue jeans are clean, but old and slightly torn in certain places. Black loafers cover his feet; these are the only new looking part of his outfit. Silver reflector aviator sunglasses covered his eyes, while black gloves cover his hands. A holster sits just inside his jacket, holding who knows what. A black belt sits on his waist, with many other sheaths and pouches tied to the belt.

Biography: Xander first discovered his special ability when he was eight. A bright blue-eyed, blond- haired second grader, Xander was really no different than any other kid. That is until the day he uncovered something sinister inside him. The power of reaching out to dark creatures in another realm and controlling them would scare anyone, let alone a child. Bonding with the wraith was easy, for someone with his magic capacity. Unknown to him, the powers of the wraith (including the evil eye) overwhelmed his mind. Seeking an outlet, he tried out his new ability… on his parents, who died instantly. Xander, now an orphan, was shuffled around from relative to relative, and later, foster home to foster home until the age of thirteen. By this time he had honed his abilities and their side effects. The dark magic he was now used to had changed everything, including the color of his hair, eyes, and skin. Enchanting, potions, and magic casting (let alone the evil eye) came as easily as breathing. Once he escaped the last foster home, he set out on a twofold quest. Firstly he wanted to find others that might be like him, with his magic that is. He knew they were out there; there were many creatures in his magical realm. But the main part of his mission was to gain enough power to bring his parents back from the dead. During his travels he learned different languages (Spanish, Chinese, anything that could help him find more 'specials'. Eventually he found some others and, in finding them, realized that his power was greater than anyone he came across. Hopelessness filled him as he realized that there were some things that even magic couldn't do. His new continuing mission was to teach others like him, mentoring them in ways that might prevent more death.

And yes you need to start small, but eventually you can get any power you wish. It's like how in a video game RPG you start with a couple skills and get more as you level up. You don't need to change your bio or anything.
