Hmm, seems wise to me. I was actually thinking of something like this myself, although I was going with 72 hours. ^_^ It's kind of funny because I'm used to an "anything goes" play style, and both of these styles really have separate ups and downs to them. My whole roleplay actually went on the complete freeze, not because someone wasn't taking a turn, but because most everyone's next action depended so heavily on one of my chars (Dhaevos actually) and Dhaevos' reaction depended completely on his love interest... who had vanished... Roleplay death is a very sad thing...

I was debating between 48 and 72, ultimately went with 48 because I thought 2 days was good notice

I was wondering... Instead of announcing that we're moving from such and such a section to another one... What about a couple RP topics that are like... the road/train station/something between the two cities?
That way you could talk to people and such on the way or something. So to go from A to B you'd post a wee bit in the corresponding topic.

Not a necessity, by any means, but it popped to my head and I thought it might be fun.

I'm thinking that a Database Stats Chart Might be useful as a Sticky in the Character Database Cat. with a Link to each Character, this'll hopefully make it easier to find specific people and more importantly encourage people to make characters in low activity areas. The Chart would look something like this
